Happy students with fit expert Pati Palmer
This past weekendI was fortunate to be able to attend the four day Pant Fitting and Sewing Workshop with Pati Palmer at the Palmer/Pletsch International School of Sewing in Portland, Oregon. It was an amazing experience. The students, who hailed from all over the United States and Canada, brought a broad range of experience and backgrounds with them. Learning to fit all the different body types was incredibly rewarding as each student was revealed in a beautifully fitting pair of pants! Much spontaneous applause and appreciation was heard around the room as everyone proudly modeled the best fitting pair of slacks they'd ever owned - that they'd learned to fit and sew themselves.
For those of you who can't make it to Portland - good news! Pacific Fabrics offers fit classes with Palmer/Pletsch Educational Associate Nancy Seifert (page 15 of the current catalog). Her intensive Pants for Real People - 2 Day Express Workshop is being offered in several locations during February and March.
So if you've been frustrated with trying to sew pants that truly fit and flatter - don't wait any longer! You will be be amazed at the difference a properly fitted pant can make.
Amazingly enough, there are still some spots open in Nancy's Pants for Real People - Two Day Express Workshop at the Northgate Pacific Fabrics on February 7th & 8th. Contact the store at 206-362-0111 right away to register or sign up online now at http://pacificfabrics.com/shopping/Classes.asp

Oh fun! My friend Cindy was there, I see her in the picture. I'm going to consider the 2-day express workshop in March.
